After a really lovely Saturday morning wandering around the Herbs Galore plant sale at Maymont (an annual tradition for me), then going for a long walk by the James River and perusing the art museum, I was on my way back to the house when I pull up at a red light and hear screaming coming from a nearby parking lot. I look over and see a guy trying to drag his girlfriend or wife out of the car BY HER HAIR while screaming and cursing at her. I didn't have any place to pull over so I had to make the left turn at the light, then make a U-turn over the median so I could at least get the license plate and call the police, which I did. I then followed him for 15 to 20 minutes to give the police the most accurate location possible. He ended up going to a cul de sac in a neighborhood not far away; it sounded like they were able to get some units there to find the guy.

Definitely did not have that on my bingo card. Somehow I've managed not to be witness to physical altercations or violence up to this point in my life, so to see that happening was pretty jarring. I don't care what she did or said, nothing justifies violence.
